Hi, I got this series of books but I find them a bit perplexing, in terms of how are you supposed to get most benefit from them. I wrote a bit about my experience with them on SL:

Maybe it's a stupid question - but if you have them, how do you use them? I mean do you just read through the diagrams without stopping and trying to solve it (without looking at the next diagram - which is difficult), or is it designed for the teacher to use but not show the student? Or perhaps we're supposed to photocopy the whole thing and chop it up into flash cards ... Is it a problem series book, or a discussion of life and death told through diagrams, with tests/reviews?
- I'm trying to formulate a 1-year study plan on life and death at the moment and I'm not sure where to put these books.

Re: Level Up Essential life and death series
I just plowed through solving them, doing my best to look at one problem at a time. Obviously the previous problems will help you with the rest of the page, but I really just look at each page as variations on a single problem. That was what I liked most about the books, is they covered a lot of different options and showed you them enough times (in slightly different forms) to drive home the shapes. They could certainly be good as flashcards too, but I enjoyed using them as they came.
Someday I want to be strong enough to earn KGS[-].

I am going through them in sections. Part of it is dependent on how much time I have at any given moment -- but the books are designed for you to go through them a little at a time or in huge chunks. For that reason, I really like this series.

I have used the problems as flash cards and they work very well that way.
