Meijin Iyama Yuta, Honinbo Hane Naoki, and Kuchinashi MountainGo. Sure, why not?Aphelion wrote:My suggestion is that we call this the tournament to CHALLENGE MountainGo as the Kuchinashi title holder, and MountainGo maybe authorized to use Kuchinashi as part of his name now
By the way, if it matters, I am now 5k on KGS, not 6k (woohoo!).

Hehe I followed the first edition of the Kuchinashi-Cup quietly and think a second edition is a very good idea! Hope you all are able to drain some ideas for your own game out of the games played here.
I'd be glad to review a game or two, maybe even upload the review to youtube (like araban did for me).

Re: 2nd Kuchinashi Tournament (4k-6k)
Heh, I was too busy to take part in the first one, and now I was just barely too low of rank for this one. I'm going to get in on one of these =)
Someday I want to be strong enough to earn KGS[-].

Here's padic (black) vs SoDesuNe (white) #2. Black wins by 6.5 points. We're now tied at one win each.
Edit: next match is Wednesday, 14:00 CEST.

Why not making another Kuchinashi for 7-10k? After the current one has been finished I'll surely be eligible for the new one as wellChew Terr wrote:Heh, I was too busy to take part in the first one, and now I was just barely too low of rank for this one. I'm going to get in on one of these =)

Re: 2nd Kuchinashi Tournament (4k-6k)
Eh, I'm too borderline. I'll just get in on the next one. I change between 6k and 7k every game or two, so I'd rather be stable in one block or the other. I just like complaining about things that don't matter. =Dkaraklis wrote:Why not making another Kuchinashi for 7-10k? Here's redundant vs. Redstick. White won by resignation.
It was an ugly game, with mistakes on both sides.
EDIT: Here's a review from my 1D friend.

Re: 2nd Kuchinashi Tournament (4k-6k)
SoDesuNe and I have played our third game. I took white and SoDesuNe took black. The result was W+R.
Here's the record:
That leaves the score at two wins for me and one for SoDesuNe.
We're playing our next game on Friday at 17:00 CEST.

Me and Nikolas played our first game a few minutes ago, where I played white. I won by resignation.

Re: 2nd Kuchinashi Tournament (4k-6k)
SoDesuNe and I have just played our fourth game, with me as black and SoDesuNe as white. The game ended in resignation in favour of black. Here's the record:
This concludes our round 1 series, with three wins for me and one for SoDesuNe.
I'd like to thank my opponent for the games, it's been fun! Nice to play some "serious" online games for once, instead of just random KGS one-offs.

Re: 2nd Kuchinashi Tournament (4k-6k)
Here's Game 3 between Aphelion (B) and Karaklis (W). Result is B+R, but we both agreed later that White resigned too early. With this I win our Round 1 series 3-0. Thanks Karaklis for a great series of games!
