Kisei finals:
Takao Shinji beats Cho U and gets 1-0 lead. next round in two weeks
Meijin league:
Hane Naoki beats Uchida Shuhei
Mizokami Tomochika beats Kim Sujun
Honinbo league:
Iyama Yuuta beats Yuki Satoshi
Kono Rin beats Ko Iso
too bad, i always cheer for newcomers and underdogs (ie. Uchida and Ko) and it just so happens that they usually lose

I don't know if Kono Rin can be called an underdog, but he fought in through the preliminary bracket and is now 3-1, tied with Iyama Yuta.
Also, your dog should hang out with ez4u's dog

prokofiev still has a healthy lead. Looking at the Meijin and Honinbo leagues, he's not backing Iyama Yuta or Kono Rin, so perhaps you all should be rooting for them to win

I don't think I was the only one who made his picks based on thinking that the competition would start at the beginning of the season (instead of things like Kuksu final and whatnot), so we should catch up.

I thought about doing it that way, but it felt like there would be too few games to look at. Even as is we sometimes have a week go by without any pro matches to add to our points.lovely wrote:I don't think I was the only one who made his picks based on thinking that the competition would start at the beginning of the season (instead of things like Kuksu final and whatnot), so we should catch up.

Oh, I don't have a problem with it. Just saying that's the strategy I used when picking my teamemeraldemon wrote:I thought about doing it that way, but it felt like there would be too few games to look at. Though, I wish I saw Kono Rin's resurgence coming

In spite of my picks, I was still rooting for Lee Changho.

Updates: Xie He has gone 3-0 so far in the Nongshim Cup, also added GS Caltex 2nd round results so far, and Honinbo and Meijin League results. The Honinbo league is wrapping up, and there's a three-way tie right now: Iyama Yuta, Takao Shinji, and Kono Rin are all 4-1.
