Re: Mafia Go #1
In a few moves, I'm going to start guessing which team everyone's on, that'll be quite fun I think

Chew Terr wrote:Ah, but Joaz... it's a game. The game is a give and take. You CAN perfectly hide your team affiliation. However, at the moment, while we have very little information on anyone, we have the least on you. This may seem good to you, but it means that no one has any reason at all to think that you are on their team. Statistically, there are X people on the opposing team, and X-1 (the one being myself) on my team. Thus, odds are slightly higher that you are on the opposing team. If that's all the information you're willing to give until you start playing moves on the board to make your team win in endgame, then I have to assume that you're slightly likely to be on the other team. With other players, while they are still unknown quantities, they are giving small amounts of information based on their current choices. Consequently, I can assume that I may be able to deduce their team later, and vote them off if they are not on mine. As a result, I know that the truly random player is a slightly worse than 50%, and it will never improve, so I'll be forced to vote you out as well. Unless, that is, you start to show information about you so that I can start to vote intelligently, instead of being reduced to choosing blindly.
Wow...a most articulate savage.

In the interest of hanging around, I'm going to act like one of them: face painting, distrust of new ideas, etc. I'll even provide some information about myself, cloaked of course - like everyone else's - in misdirection, subterfuge and the occasional bald-faced lie. I change mine to E6.
Oh, and I forgot. Ahem... ooga booga. There, my incomprehensible savage outburst quota has been reached.

Re: Mafia Go #1
a (C3): Jordus
b (E6): fwiffo, prokofiev, topazg, Joaz Banbeck
c (F7): Chew Terr, Marcus, daniel_the_smith
What now?
(How about two days for each move?)
(also, if anyone wants to make Malkovich style hidden comments, feel free to pm them to me)

It will be easy, bcuz Kirby gave himself up. He thought that he had the goods on Joaz, and said that Joaz was white team. Kirby would only do that if he was on the black team.

Re: Mafia Go #1
Why wasn't I included in the tally for last round? I voted for the 3-5 point.
Anyway, I vote hane for Black this time. I also vote that symmetrical moves be considered the same for voting counts. I had assumed they were, anyway.

I'm down with the hane, as well. It has the sort of fighting spirit that will help our team claim victory.
Because I'm on team black.
