Yes you can. Take the CPU out of her computer.
Nah, since my wife retired, Facebook has become her main hobby. Besides, now she leaves me alone to play games.

unfriend

Tom
I suppose I could try unfriending for her...but her "community" keeps growing exponentially. Besides which, it is cheaper than traveling all over the country to see my inlaws.

Cool, added the Seymour Library Go Club to both maps.

I am proudly the first on the mud island!
Er... you're missing a favicon. (Pet gripe with Go-related sites.)
Er... my first thought when I saw this thread's title was: "igolocal??" I hope that this one does better - the old one just vanished.

Yes, vanished after many people had entered their data. This is why I’m wary of entering my date in this new site.

Yes, as is to be read in this thread

and the old one was done by the same person
who has up to now declined to reply to questions raised in this thread, namely what happened to the old data that people readily confided to him.

I'd bet for a "data vanished inside a lost/uncared-for server."

Yeah, “me too”, I guess simply not paid for the domain. But, TBH, this looks to me more like advertising (cf. the “Hire me” link) than like real care for the Go community, and
again it asks for registration (or for login using our Facebook or Google accounts) … and then he doesn’t even care to answer the questions asked here?
Uhm…
Cordially, Tom
<edit>Dylan Carter’s “World Go Clubs Map” is “open” in that it won’t go down when somebody doesn’t pay for their domain, in that you “only” need a Google Account (which many people already have) so won't have to give somebody of dubious credibility (Sorry, Chuck!) their data.

Whom are you asking?
In
Dylan Carter’s “World Go Clubs Map” you can (extra layer for these), and many already are there.

I can understand your dubiousness about the purpose of the site, but why the objection to registration? The only purpose of the site is to register your name / rank / location so that you can find and be found by other people who might live near you. How would that be accomplished without registration?

“dubiousness”, mh? I see where you’re aiming at

Cf. the other posts in this thread, and have you actually checked the aforementioned mentioned “World Go Clubs Map” that runs on Google Maps?
Since Google already
has the data of so many people, why give them
again to somebody who has not yet explained 1) why an exactly same project he ran a few years ago died, and 2) what happened to the data that people gave him?
I don’t understand why one would want to do that, given that there is an alternative that is more open, as explained before.

Agree with Tom here. I work in "web stuff" (it's hard to explain what I do

) but the main thing is that I want to maximise revenue (so it implies a lot of tools/tasks/specific knowledge.) And there's nothing we like more than having emails of people... well, a website that gets people to visit more or less frequently and be bombarded with ads AND grabs emails of unsuspecting users. See what I aim at?

Great stuff! Hoping to find a lot more people around my area who like to play! I also wonder how many people are actually around me, but they probably aren't going to sign up or have no idea about L19 or the findgoplayers website.
