You could try turning off everything but your computer and getting a firewall that blocks internet access to everything except the go server. I sometimes get the same way too, but mostly when playing games on the real board for some reason. My opponent will stop and start seriously reading and I'll mentally sigh wishing he'd just play regularly and keep it fun. xD I suppose that is the downside to getting better at the game, you're serious games take more and more time to read through.

I do not think that getting better at the game necessarily means that you are playing more seriously.

Two weeks? Consider yourself lucky. I've lost 9 months to that game. And not just once. And by lost, I mean lost. e.g. waking up at 5am, on a Sunday, to coordinate an attack...that kind of madness.

Seriously, if you're playing Travian, stop, or if you're thinking about playing, don't.
