The non-brother, who is 9-dan. The brother is 8-dan. And Yi Se-tol was born in 1983.

You are right. I missed the last promotion to 9d in 2015-12. That also means my assertion about which player is in the GG Auctions Cup may be wrong.

You may wish to note that the Hanguk Giwon distinguishes them as follows:

이상훈(大) - the elder

이상훈(小) - the younger (and brother of Se-tol)

(i.e. Yi Sang-hun)

The player of GG Auction is Lee Sedol's brother. He's a pretty good player when he was young, but Lee Changho just too strong.

Choi Jung beat Kim Chanwoo 6d by resign in 104 moves; so 4 down, 6 to go!

She has gained enough points from these old gentlemen, her ranking momentarily passing Yu Zhiying at goratings. However, Yu is doing extremely well too, winning her all 11 games in the Chinese Women's league so far.

Choi Jeong is playing Lee Sanghoon 9p (older brother of Lee Sedol) today. Not easy to judge who is winning by move 100... But looks like she will lose now. Actually she fought back really well and managed to save a zombie group with a difficult ko, and then killed a group that tried to live in her almost territory, but despite those valiant efforts was still behind and lost by 5.5 points. Amazing game though, she fought really hard trying to keep the women's team in the tournament.
