Kokkyō no nagai ton'neru o nukeru to yukiguni de atta.
i think arashi can be kind of similar to an invasion in some cases. like when the opponent has a shape that looks like it will become his territory, but you invade, break it up, and turn it into your own territory.
i haven't used this word much, though, so i could be wrong.

Haha. Well, with my current personal situation, I don't study much of anything seriously these days.
I guess the last time I wrote something seriously in Japanese was a couple of years ago. An article I wrote (after a couple of revisions) was published by the December 15, 2014 edition of Go Weekly (http://www.nihonkiin.or.jp/publishing/g ... 41215.html). The page with the article I wrote is in the attached PDF. I wrote about Kuma's visit to the Seattle Go Center. If you want that issue, you should be able to purchase it off the site.
But I'd say more accurately that I have not seriously studied Japanese since about 2005 when I lived there. It's much easier when you're living in the country, and my language study at home since then shifted to Korean, particularly since having kids.
It's fun to read stuff in Japanese online these days, or occasionally post on lang-8, but I wouldn't consider that serious study of any sort.
