Los Angeles, CA. It is very worthwhile for a kyu-level player to show up, and is not mainly for dan players but for players of all skill levels.

The top candidate right now is UC Santa Barbara. We're still looking at UCLA, but they want too much money. UC Riverside is now a distant third.

The getting there and staying there, sorry for not making it clear.
The prices for the congress itself seems normal.
Edit: And this is my subjective opinion. What I mean by the above is that it seems too expensive for me.

huh, compared to last year, a bit expensive. But compared to US one, way much better. And it's two weeks.

For the first time in over a decade I'll be giving the (US) congress a miss. I balked after seeing the price for this year's congress and decided to visit a friend's cottage in New Brunswick instead.
