Do you prefer thick or thin stones?

I have various sets, of all kinds of material.
Depending on the material, my preference is between size 32 and 35.

I am used to any size of stones. When you look at them (which is most of the time), they look the same (though I have seen some sets which are not circular and are irregular in shape and size).
For manipulating, thin size is slightly more difficult (especially yunzi). Stones from 6mm create better sound on board.

For material, I prefer harder stuff - glass, stone, shell. Plastic with lead inside is also good.
I don't like pure plastic, usually they are badly made, unpure material, rough edges etc.

But few things drive me crazy:
- dirty stones. I played once with nice slate and shell stones, and some 20% had some deposits of dirt on them. Awful to look, even to touch.
- unstable stones, which shake at tiniest move. To make matters worse, in such cases some shake like crazy, others are stable.
