My board makes a bit of a SNAP! sound. But then again, I have a low quality board. <<

If you're constantly smashing the board you're doing it wrong.

The Koreans at the local go center do not share this opinion...

I don't make any sound or movement when I read things out most of the time, but I occasionally tap my finger. There are two kinds of finger tapping. One is noob style - tapping somewhat slowly and in several places on the table or what have you, seeming to have some difficulty - and tapping in the same spot rapidly without a change of expression, like Lee Sedol. That's the one! ^^
If I'm casually reviewing another person's game or a Tsumego or something, well, now that I've heard this discussion, I've forgotten which sound I make... You've made me a sad panda...
boom boom boom
dum dum dum
doom doom doom
da da da
bum bum bum
It's definitely one of those...
I at least know for sure that I'm far too lazy to use a sound that doesn't start with a 'b' or 'd'... P or T and the rest are too much work to say ^^

I go for 'Tak,Tak,Tak,..." personally .(Dutch speaker)
I do this subcontiously and always hope that my opponents don't find this to irritating. I noticed some somehow become slightly insecure hearing me tokking away under my breath.

I just say black, white, black, white etc. In my own language of course.
Looks like I'm the only one doing that.
