For those of you who have successfully kept a bamboo goban for a while, are there any particular tricks or care tips I should be using? After seeing the OP post about the trouble they have had, I would like to be able to take some preventive measures to keep it looking as gorgeous as it does now.
While on the subject, any tips for jujube bowls?

Yeah, I left my board in the car a while, and it developed some cracks. Really not good to do in Arizona heat.

My apartment is very compact. When not in use I've been storing my Goban in its box, upright.
(I do also have a travel board that bends, or rather folds!)

Well, common sense says not to store it leaning up against something. I imagine upright is fine as long as it is truly vertical.
