I agree, nomination should be fine, as should the ability to decline said nomination. Some people may not want to put themselves forward due to modesty, but would gladly accept a role if asked.

I'd like to volunteer too. Since I hardly ever play in real life, you guys are pretty much my go community, so I'd be glad for the chance to contribute. I live in Europe.

I vote for somebody who doesn't realise that there is no White 7 in a normal game

There is in a normal handicap game, and some of us feel handicapped in every game we play

He gave me the thumbs up, so I would like to nominate Ed Lee for one of the moderator positions.

Here's why I think Ed would make a great moderator. Ed is one of the most welcoming members we have. Whenever new members introduce themselves, Ed is always on the spot welcoming them to the L19 community. He is always willing to give thoughtful game reviews, advice on equipment, and explain concepts to beginners. Like many of you, I've followed Ed's posts on both L19 and Go Discussions over the years and I don't remember ever seeing a cross word or negative comment from him. In short, Ed has been very helpful and generous to L19 members, especially newcomers. He has a mature and even-tempered quality to him that I believe is key for an effective moderator.

I'm willing to be a moderator for the forum. I come on several times a day and have done moderator work for other sites in the past. I'd like to help out with this site in some way.
