According to Younggil there is some controversy in Korea about whether top pros should be automatically seeded to international tournaments like the Fujitsu Cup. To my mind there is some sense in not tiring your top players out in a grueling qualifying round. On the other hand, I suspect some would argue that it makes everyone tougher when they have to make it through the domestic rounds.

@John, your suggestion of paying dues is intriguing to us. It would have to be an incredibly strong sense of debt to win over the killer instinct of a world champion baduk player, wouldn't it?

Hey guys, I was just looking over the commentary by An Yong Il, and move 51 stuck out to me.

A. Is this a common tesuji? its pretty cool IMHO
B. Why is that important to do now? It seems too early for endgame things...

It's big endgame, but more importantly it is sente. White's corner will die if black plays another move.
