Does "annoying" mean "good"? Or "bad but happens to work well with 7 stones?" Or something else?

7 stone game is hard to win if my opponent uses middle stone well. i have to worry about influence so my move is restricted. if i start answering his move then i will lose for sure..so i have to start somewhere else as i did.. i hate it when i can not grab influence. annoying!!!!! he can give me everything on the side and still win easily that is why i jumped two space.
I am glad he is dan. Every 7-5 kyu I play lately plays stupid invasions that shouldn't logically work, and because my fighting was bad they got away with it. I had to spend hours studying life and death just to learn how to punish these people. MagicWand will not make such vulgure invasions, he will make logical invasions because he knows what good go is .

Magicwand:
Please win by making a stupid invasion that he can't kill.
The two space jump attacks the stone on a large scale, and attacks both White stones.

@ magicwand
Hey don't go easy on me, and I will avoid vulgure moves that most people my rank make, because if it doesn't work than I shouldn't try it. I really appreciate you playing me. Funnily enough I played a 7 kyu last night, and got so ticked off about all the vulgure plays. I went berserk and thrashed him, but I have complete faith all your moves will be sound and logical because your a dan. I hope to learn what I can from our game

@balmung
A suggestion:
Instead of mentally placing moves into the categories "vulgar" and "good", try the categories "moves I can respond correctly to" and "moves I can't respond correctly to". I think this would be good for your go and mental health. If you can't "punish" a move, then maybe it actually was reasonable...

Sound and logical because I'm a dan? That's a good one

a vulgar move is one in which it does not work if played correctly, but your opponent plays it because they want to hope your stupid or they just don't know better. I do not fall prone to vulgure moves thanks to high amounts of tsumego and tesuji I have been studying.

As is evident from balmung's recent sansan invasion video on youtube.

In that case Balmung I think you chose the wrong opponent.

B) That's exactly the thought process I'm suggesting you drop. My point is that you can't reliably tell the difference between a trick with a 1d "punishment difficulty level" and a legitimate move*, and that you should stop pretending to yourself that you can**. A trick with a 1d level punishment is a legitimate move against a 5k. Heck, it's a legitimate move against a 1d, they don't always solve problems right in games. Between two 7d players it would be out of place sometimes. But you seem to be genuinely insulted by trick moves. I don't think that's healthy for your go. If you can't punish it, then it's not a trick.
[*] We know you can't, otherwise you'd be 1d. [**] Originally I said "you should stop trying to", but I think this is more accurate; I'm sorry if it's harsh, it's just how it appears to me...

balmung seems very easily intimidated even by the most innocent moves (my impression from his comments, not yet from his moves). so it will be fun to watch balmung, backed up by a large advantage of 7 handicap stones, against Magicwand, master of mind games and once world's strongest 3d
i believe this game will rely more than usually on black's apparently labile mindset - if he stays calm and collected, 7h may be about correct handi, if he starts anything crazy, he has no chance

what video?
balmung:
if you see a vulgar move, you should be grateful to your opponent for giving you an easy opportunity to get an advantage, especially in a slow game. however, if you have any doubts about the outcome, you shouldn't rush into punishing him in the name of go just because of your feeling

I think 7 stones is just too little for Balmung, irregardless of his form or attitude.
