i went through the posts up to now and here is list of players with number of times they were chosen to a team:
most wanted so far are: Takao Shinji (7), Chen Yaoye (6), Kong Jie (6), Yuki Satoshi (6)
and there are also 4 Jokers - $1 players with multiple hits: Murakawa Daisuke, Cho Insun, Na Hyun, Ko Iso (3 each)
PS: what would be implications if the prices were moving according to demand? if player's price would go up $1 every time he is chosen to a team and a) next manager would have budget $1 bigger, or b) one random player would become $1 cheaper (both a and b serves to prevent inflation). this way the players would converge to their "real" price (with an assumption that all team managers are rational and well informed). it would be hardly maintainable by hand, but i think it is an interesting idea

What is the total universe of eligible events? For example, all tournaments listed on
Go News? Or is there some other list?

I'm using Mr Kin's go news. I'm not sure yet what if anything will be added. Personally I'm more interested in the results from slower-time matches, but I also feel that more games overall will make the fantasy league more interesting. hyperpape pointed out that adding some events could shift the value of certain players, especially since the points are based on a set list. I feel this is all still a kind of trial run, anyway.
I'll reiterate: if there's a particular event you want to see (or don't want to see), let me know!

So the women's events are included, and say Rui in Korea or Xie in Japan only cost a dollar, right (typing feverishly into his excel sheet)?

Xie He is 16, why you counted him as 11?

Oh, thanks for the catch - I had him mixed up with Qiu Jun (was constantly editing and re-editing my picks).

This is great. I'm already excited about the semifinals of the Samsung cup (which don't count) and seeing my players advance to the finals (which do).
Hear, hear for Won Sungjin (on my team) winning game one against Chen Yaoye (not)!

I thought about trying to include women's events, but they so rarely make it into open events that it would be essentially like running two seperate leagues. If I did add women's events I would probably have to assign point values to the women pros to prevent people like ez4u from gaming the system
