Thanks for the quick reply. I tried GoPanda 2 too and it is terrible. I used it to enter the tournament room but I did not see any players there, not even myself is listed in there. Maybe it is the client's problem. Still hope that they can make it work for GoPanda 1. GoPnda 2 is very awkward and hard to get around.

It looks like the problem is at least partially fixed. I was able to get in the SAWMG-AM room with GoPanda and there is at least one game going on right now.

I also had the can't join room error with GoPanda (for EU room). What I did to enter the room is: Open the console tab in GoPanda, and type "join room-number" (without quotes). You can see the room number in interface where you click to (unsuccessfully) join the room.
edit: I just tried normal way (without console) also working. So seems fixed.

The problem is reportedly fixed. But it should be noted that GoPanda-2 still does not work with Internet Explorer (IE). So IE is your preferred browser, use GoPanda which works fine for the SAWMG rooms. Also, PandaTetsuki is available for iPad users.

In addition to previously announced top prize of a trip to Beijing and lottery prizes of three iPad's for all first-round finishers, we have successfully obtained extra prizes from our sponsors. They include two Samsung tablet computers, two Swatches, and several digital cameras. These prizes will be given by lottery to all players who finish the first round with more than 10 wins!
If you missed this year's tournament, plan on registering next year at a similar time. We expect the tournament to continue for at least 2013 and 2014.

What happens if your opponent doesn't show up at the designated time in the main tournament?

Oh, sorry, I mistook you for being part of the organizing team. Never mind then.

Thanks for keeping this event announced. I almost forgot to login and watch -- just got home from work a few minutes before start time. Strange games from the mismatched players

The tournament has now concluded. In all, 688 players from 48 countries participated. The event was held on Pandanet-IGS, with more than 5,400 games played from September to early November. The final winner is Sun Nanjing from China, see
https://intergofed.org/13-igf-news-feed ... ments.html for details. Mr. Sun will travel to Beijing next month (December 12-20, 2012) to receive the championship plaque, as well as to play an open game with a top professional. The AGA e-journal will carry live reports from the event site.
In addition, with generous sponsorship from Pandanet and SportAccord, we were able to provide a number of awards to players, including:
Regional winners: Mariya Zakhachenko (Ukraine), Fernando Aguilar (Argentine), Tamai Kazuki (Japan); each winning a digital camera.
Lottery winners (prize from Pandanet): Dragan Dubakovic (Serbia), Irwin Vinicio Sanchez Chinchuña (Ecuador), Ueda Tatsuya (Japan); each winning an iPad.
Lottery winners (prize from SportAccord): Jeremy Chiu (USA), Igor Burnaevskiy (Russia); each winning a Samsung tablet computer. Tzvetomir Tzvetanov (France), Nakatomi Nobuo (Japan); each winning a Swatch watch.
This tournament is expected to be held again in 2013 and 2014, with possibly an earlier start time to allow more people to play. Watch for announcements on e-journal, on IGF website, and on Pandanet website.
