posts in off topic do not contribute to the idea of the forum. people who get liked should do so because they made an insightful post related to go. now if it were up to em, the like option would never exist. but if it has to stay, it being on in off topic creates disillusion for newcomers. theyre going to assume that people with a lot of likes are very helpful, when its really when they made a crappy joke about sente or gote.

Clearly the solution is therefore to only like posts with good jokes about sente or gote. That way even if the person isn't insightful or helpful, they'll at least be funny
