The question here is not whether or not David made a terrible mistake (I don't believe he did, because he was tricked) but rather whether or not Mr. Bozulich "faked" his own death. David implied he did, and I haven't read a denial by Mr. Bozulich. If Mr. Bozulich indeed was the initiator of the false story, he indeed at least shares the responsibility. Do you have any evidence for your claim that Mr. Bozulich found the news of his death "shocking" and not perhaps - amusing.

My apologies for warming up this old and only tangentially related story, but as far as I can tell, Mr. Bozulich did indeed "fake" his own death. Too bad it doesn't seem to be the case with the demise of his highly esteemed magazine.

It is the ending of an era and such things always brings sadness.
However for me the sadness is overshadowed by the fact that RB still is alive,
something I had entirely missed. Rumors certainly die hard.

By the way, I note that the link to the free digital sample issue (#45) on the page
http://www.kiseidodigital.com/index.html
doesn't seem to be working any longer.

Wasn't this already fully discussed in the original thread? Stay on topic, which is sad enough.

I disagree with daal but lets stay on topic. It's a sad day for the western go world indeed with the ending of Go World. Guess we'll have to read Asian go magazines now :)

I'm certainly not going to rush out and buy the ''last'' issue without any certainty that it might be that.

Question is what happens to the rest of the subscription after you receive the last issue? Do we get a credit or a refund for the balance?

I too am sorry to see the end of Go World. It had a very good run for a magazine devoted to a non-Western game, and I am grateful for all the effort that went into producing it over the years.

The digital version is very nice, a great bargain, and hopefully will remain available for a long time.

To the tune of 'Cover of the Rolling Stone':

...
So we keep on playing,
And we still are waiting
For the fortune, fame, and girls.
And we keep getting stronger,
But we can't wait no longer
For the cover of the old Go World.
