Re: Go daily desk calendar?
I checked it out, and I can only find a way to create wall calendars (12 or 18 months).xed_over wrote:The Tacoma Go Club sells a number of "print on demand" items through Cafe Press. I buy the same calendar (the photos are the same) from them year after year.daal wrote:
in general, a calendar is tricky, because you don't want any leftover stock.
maybe Cafe Press offers a daily desk calendar? (I haven't looked)
However, with the binding as it is, perhaps making it as a "book" would be nearly as good:: http://www.cafepress.com/cp/info/help/learn_book.aspx

I think you can do better trying a ladder (Inspired in the classic http://users.skynet.be/rexburton/humiliating.jpg)Annihilist wrote:Do I win?TheBigH wrote:Yup! No, in general a ladder is worse than a direct capture since your opponent gains forcing moves to rescue his stone. (But this stone seems not to be important anyway, it does not cut Black or anything.)

Re: Go daily desk calendar?
Spiral-binding might be a nice option if they do that. Its not normal desk calendar style binding, but as a book you could keep it as well (instead of worrying about 365 random pages floating around your desk)Kirby wrote: However, with the binding as it is, perhaps making it as a "book" would be nearly as good:: http://www.cafepress.com/cp/info/help/learn_book.aspx

You should’ve put that in spoiler tags, no?Annihilist wrote:Do I win?TheBigH wrote:Yup! And for the first Monday of the year, when the effects of christmas and new year's still linger in your mind and bloodstream, something like this:

Re: Go daily desk calendar?
So it seems there's a relatively small group of people (including me) who think this is a cool idea.
I'm thinking maybe it's best to leave it until towards the end of 2013, like daal suggested. Of course, that doesn't mean someone else can't give it a go in the meantime if they're keen

Re: Go daily desk calendar?
I'll buy one whenever they appear. The 18 month cutover would be fine with me.
10-15AUD
What about main problem-centre top and a simple mini answer diagram (a la newspaper things) top left?
With that said I'm not confident I've ever seen a daily calendar and am not sure what will be practical.
