IPA is the one type of beer I just can't stand.
It's the only time I will say no to free beer.

I’d have missed that if shapenaji hadn’t quote it … can’t find the original post

Can’t explain that here, though, ask me again in twenty years, OK?
Greetings, Tom
p.s.: IF I drink beer, which is very seldom, then I have two preferences:
1. Odin’s Trunk (a beer sweetened with honey, strong-ish: I think 8%)
2. ANY beer stronger than 12%

Oh a thread about beer and Otenki the belgian guy is not yet in it ????

My favorite (of course Belgian) beer is Tripel Karmeliet.
If you ever get a chance to try it, you should

A topic on beer and I'm not in yet? As a Belgian, I need to contribute
Here is my little favorite one: the Westvleteren. Brown, around 8%, a little bit sweet and bitter, it has a very specific flavor that you definitely need to try once in your life!

An intresting fact to know about westvleteren is that you cannot just buy it anywhere.
You can only get it at the abbey itself where monks brew it

I guess apart from its great taste it is part of the reason why there is such a hype around this beer... because it is so rare

Cheers,
Otenki

Currently on a bit of a belgian kick, and this is my current favorite. Bottle looks a little different in the 2012 version, but this was the most reasonably sized pic I could find.

Redundant, is this bottle more current?

Yup. That looks like the ones i've been having. The first picture I found was much too large for a forum post.
