Hey, they really look neat! Anyone knows how much are the shipping costs to Europe?

If you mean 'Go Problems for Kyu Players' from slate and shell, then you need to ask them. The shipping will not be the same to all of Europe. Their shipping is very reasonable though.SoDesuNe wrote:Hey, they really look neat! Anyone knows how much are the shipping costs to Europe?
I am currently carrying this around anywhere I go, because it's a perfect fit to my jacket pocket. It's awesome to be able to flip it out anywhere, anytime and read 5 minutes or so. The size can be compared to a postcard, it even seems a bit smaller and the problems are great.Helel wrote:You may want to look at the tesuji book Rescue and Capture by Yilun Yang.
Those two books are about the same size as the Maeda life and death book that Slate and Shell also carries - slightly taller, but much thinner. Pocket size (unless you have small pockets) and 1 Problem per page.blue88 wrote:I am currently carrying this around anywhere I go, because it's a perfect fit to my jacket pocket. Does anyone know whether the Life & Death by the Numbers/Characters books are of the same format? Do they present 1 problem only per page as well?
As xed_over's note points at an old godiscussions page, it may be helpful to have a link here to tchan's updated version on his blog:
I don't know if they're available in the US, but I thought Thomas Redecker's flash cards were excellent. These are roughly the same size as normal playing cards, so should fit a pocket easily.fwiffo wrote:In order to cram more tsumego-solving into my schedule, I'd like to have some on hand all the time for whenever I have a free minute. Any good pocket-sized tsumego books out there for purchase in the US?
How does Maeda's book compare with GGPFB vol 4, easier more difficult or about the same?ethanb wrote:That book is 100% awesome for quick study, and perfect for SDK level. Glad somebody else mentioned it first, I mentioned it in another thread recently and I'd be afraid of sounding like an advertisement.Tengen wrote:You might try Maeda Nobuaki's "Life and Death: Intermediate Level Problems". It's a pocket sized yellow book that only costs $8 at Slate and Shell

I haven't looked at my copy in a while, but I went through it a few times and liked it.
