Looks really nice. Now you just need to remodel your whole room to match it :)

How much did this set come to including shipping and handling etc? I've been playing about 6 years and have always wanted the highest of quality, but my budget doesn't often reach over a few hundred dollars. Given most sets like this reach several thousand, I just wanted to know the riches I will have to accumulate to afford this. No price isn't worth it however, for quality Go equipment is truely an artform.

What is "sun kaya"? I only know the terms "Hyugu kaya", "honkaya" and "shin kaya".

sun is a traditional unit of measurement. When someone says 6 sun kaya board they mean a kaya board with a thickness of 6 sun or whatever.

1 sun is approximately 3.03 cm or 1.19 inches.

Curious what email address or method of contact people used to get in touch with Mr Kuroki (or his business in general).

I think I used info@kurokigoishi.co.jp before which someone had posted ... no response in about 3 weeks. I tried customer@kurokigoishi.co.jp today ... will see if a response comes up.

I think both work, but I had the same experience when it came to response time recently. Eventually got in touch and get my order in, but it took some patience.

Nice - thanks - yes I got a reply and since then have been exchanging notes to narrow down the purchase.
