Apparently. But not by intention. I'm trying to figure out why changing the 'posts per page' parameter has no effect.

Page 2 for me, ever since post 20.

Ahhhhh...now it makes sense. The global value is overridden by individual values. I didn't know that we had individual values.

really? its in the preferences in the User Control Panel

I used to have mine set to 40 per page.

and the only bug that irritates me is the next new post link skips any new posts on the first page and jumps directly to the second page. after that, it works fine for any additional pages.

I had set it to 40 before, because I’m a fast reader and I don’t like to be interrupted by having to press a button while in the flow of reading.

It does seem as if I’ve had less “connection” problems since I reduced the number to 20.
