This article is pretty old, but looks like the 1050 TI (laptop) is about as good as the desktop version

For the memory question, afaik it is a matter of how many playouts you can store in memory.
I.e. if you want to do 2 million playouts on a single move, it needs to store the calculations somewhere.
For normal use, it should not make a difference
