Me too. This is surprising to me, as I thought that if it was an issue with the KGS server, then I simply wouldn't be able to log on to KGS. But I can't launch the CGoban program at all. Oh well, I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one, and hopefully it'll be fixed in time

I can launch CGoban with no problem, and get the ad banners on the login screen. But cannot log in right now.

My guess is that this is just a caching issue with java webstart. Perhaps your cache doesn't contain the whole application, and it can't download the rest because the server is down.
But KGS is up for me now.
edit: Looks like the new download is faulty
edit2: It works if I redownload from the website. Perhaps the certificate used for signing changed?

I got a new download when I launched CGoban earlier, but it's fine. KGS is up for me now.

I can't even log-in through the web application. Is it still up for everyone else?
EDIT: Nevermind! However, the Cgoban3-NFA still doesn't work even if you download it fresh from the site.

The client is working for me but i can't connect to the server through it. Pinging goserver.gokgs.com works allright though, is anyone still experimenting the same issue as me?

Automatic update didn't work; I couldn't launch client.
Downloadable update works in launching client, but server is still down.

I had to reinstall CGoban. Now able to logon, but everything is v. e. r. y... s. l.. o.... w........

You probably need download the regular client (not the -nfa client) from the kgs website - worked for me earlier today.
And the server seems to be running much more smoothly now.
