Was this interview removed or is there some other reason I can't access it? I'd love to watch it!

I think it's been established that the average rank of all the anchors is what is "anchored," not the rank of each individual anchor. "Someone whose rank is changing quickly can't be an anchor" is a teleological explanation, not an efficient explanation.

Someone really discovered who is Tartrate?

I don“t remember if Tartrate was 7 or 9, i just assumed he was 9. I remember all those games with LOTS of people watching.

Myungwan wrote on his senseis' page that he'd beaten mymy on KGS, from which it was inferred that he was Tartrate--I guess very few people managed to beat mymy.

before Joanne Missingham aka Hei Jia Jia became a pro,
she asked her mom to take her to China pro exam if she can achieve 9d on the internet
she didn't say which server but i guess it's KGS

The server was YiCheng (Chinese edition of Tygem), She usually played in the Korean Room 1.
Interview in Chinese: http://sports.sina.com.cn/go/2008-04-02 ... 1613.shtml

There are tons of 9d amateur players in Tygem. To pass the pro exam, for a girl 9d is strong enough, but for a boy he has to be a very strong 9d.
