Well done by the Empty Sky Go Club of Rochester. Actions speak louder than words, its harder than vague ideas. Not just vision, but execution.
(I looked on your RIT library web page and I can't find a lot of the books, e.g. the Go super book collection. I assume this is just a case of it takes a lot of work by someone to enter them on the system accurately, so will get done with time.)

While you see many many books from the initial photos we have not had the time to translate the titles and get them in the system. This will be coming in the next couple months as we have free time to work on it.PeterHB wrote:Well done by the Empty Sky Go Club of Rochester. Re: Large collection of donated Japanese go books
Perhaps you can try looking up some of the books against the AMERICAN GO ASSOCIATION ARCHIVE JAPANESE MATERIAL INDEX to save some translation work.
You can also try referencing my blog as I have provided quite a bit of info on Asian go books in English for the western audience.

Re: Large collection of donated Japanese go books
Our library is requesting just the romanji name translation instead of the english name. We're also going to try to include subjects of the books in the info as well.tchan001 wrote:Perhaps you can try looking up some of the books against the AMERICAN GO ASSOCIATION ARCHIVE JAPANESE MATERIAL INDEX to save some translation work.

Re: Large collection of donated Japanese go books
Please also note that a couple of the books in the collection are Chinese books rather than Japanese books.
