I'm getting time outs in almost any message I've sent in the last 4 or 5 days (before I only saw once or twice). With Chrome, a simple "reload" works (Chrome will ask to resend data, say okay). But this means there's something faulty, server-side. Maybe a too-quick timeout in the database queries?

Yes, my Malkovich posts were timing out like 20+ times a few days back. Now it's closer to once or twice per post. Time might have something to do with it, but the worst experience I had was from 2-3 AM Eastern time.

Well, now it won't let me post in the Malkovich section at all. Everywhere else is fine.

could it be that there are size limitations on mysql tables? (not being all that familiar with mysql myself)
for people who are reporting problems, is it mostly only in the Malkovich forums and/or other heavy diagram forums? I suspect that these tables are quite large by now.

I encounter the issue in almost every time I post, but it seems to be the worst in Malkovich games (but for me it hasn't been that bad the past couple of days).

I am timing out on almost every post I make. I am on during Japan day time and evenings. I use Safari, and I can just click back. All the text is saved for me, but then I copy it, reload the page, then paste and post as quickly as I can to avoid another time out.

I have the same experience except I just hit the submit button again. I do not have to copy and paste. I am using Safari on the iPad. Do you not see the submit button when you click back?

I found that I just could not connect using my ISPs normal browser, until this morning. When I used MS IE and searched using Bing, I could connect and read, but every time I tried to post (or save) a message, I was told that I had timed out. I'm wondering if this will now work.
Best wishes.

I am just paranoid of losing my text, so I copy and paste it. Perhaps it is not necessary.

For me, when viewing the Malk section the forums choke.
Basically the diagrams stop loading up (despite have the gfx in my cache)
then the next page only loads halfway down.
It gets really slow.
The other sections are ok it seems.

Ugh... I don't know if this is related, but I just got logged out after spending half an hour on a new thread. I hit submit and it took me to the login. I assumed I would just login and my post would still be cached and sent. Instead, it disappeared completely...
Really disheartening :/
EDIT: And no, the back button didn't work, it took me to the login screen, and then to the board posting, apparently the information from a new thread post is not stored...

yeah, not related. sorry.
but frustrating none-the-less.
your login session cookie is for a limited time, and when it expires, no amount of back buttoning will bring back your text.
by checking the "remember me" box (or whatever its called) when you login, removes the expiration date on the session cookie.
