About that cooking...
When it comes to vegetarianism, Chinese food has quite a lot to offer.
Vegetarian food is a whole new genre of food in China, which in fact has many of its own restaurants.
Vegetarian food goes pretty far into China's past, so they've spent a lot longer on developing imitation meats and delicious dishes.
They use things like tofu sheets, folding them or rolling them until the consistency matches meat(I honestly didn't realize I wasn't actually eating pork and fish one night), along with finely ground mushrooms. Many of these dishes become analogues to their meat-including counterparts.
If you haven't been able to find a place to try it, I suggest googling around your area for Chinese vegetarian restaurants.
Trust me, it's good stuff.
Will definitely do this. I believe my cousin knows a good vegetarian restaurant that serves vegetarian imitation food. I'll be sure to ask him. Thanks for the suggestions

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm not personally a vegetarian, but would still be very interested in giving some of this a try. I've only really ever had the tofu from a package without all that much prep.

I think that's a mistake quite a few people make when they try tofu for the first time, and then get turned off of it.
Tofu is meant to be cooked. Boiled in a stew, steamed with vegetables, fried with meat, etc.
If you eat it plain, I think anyone would be disappointed about its taste. It does best when going along with the tastes of other things.

I don't think he means "tofu sheets". I think he means yuba. This is not actually tofu. It is the skin which forms on the top of the soy milk when it is boiled to make tofu. Look at wikipedia under "tofu skin". It is used in vegetarian Chinese cooking to simulate the skin of a piece of meat.
I eat tofu several times a week, prepared in many different ways. It is one of the most flexible foods there is. Many times my wife has prepared it for non-vegetarian dinner guests who did not even realize they were not eating meat.

I enjoyed, what they call, the Panther Pie -- which is a meat lovers pizza with: pepperoni, Canadian bacon, bacon, and sausage (plus a few extras).
Washed it all down with Dr. Pepper.
Mmmmm, mmmmm, good.
I've eaten there a few times! I used to live in Bozeman.

My usual spot was Samurai Sams off of 19th, a buddy of mine and I would occasionally take a vinyl go board and play games while eating lunch.

Awesome! Some one from my neck of the woods, or at least used to be.

Never actually been to Samurai Sams, though. Might have to give it a try.

As for recommendation, I really think every omnivorious reader should try surströmming, at least once.
It is a bit of an aquired taste, but once you get used to it, it is really quite good.
It also has the added benefit that when you opens a can in the club for a quick snack, it will make a great conversation piece.

I wouldn't go as far as quite good. Not horrible would be more like it.

No thanks, I have a strong enough dislike for strömming, even when its not sur.
