Re: Tsumego Pro : Go problems for Android
Thanks for the quick response Dalmas!
Could you also add this fantastic feature to the progress games please?

Re: Tsumego Pro : Go problems for Android
Worked through a bunch of the problems while watching game five of the jubango tonight, while also my first experience with a tsumego app (have seen a few programs for pc) I feel the op has designed a lovely app for android with a nice collection of problems for ddk's as well. The option to give positions a more well defined picture with several levels of line thickness to choose from is a nice feature for older eyes. Looking forward to adding extension to favorite collection and packs as I progress - between this, PandaTetsuki, and BW-Go for DGS and sgf reviews there'll be no excuse not to now.

It's now possible in the latest version (3.05), which also includes some bug fixes.

So, is this the same as the Tsumego part in ElyGo? Would it suffice to get ElyGo for the same functionality? Also, is there a bundle option to buy all available problems at a lower price?

ElyGo and Tsumego Pro share the same interface but they have different features. Tsumego Pro has daily problems, bookmarks, a level history, and a lot of problem packs, while ElyGo lets you import your own collections and has its own challenge mode.
The main reason I created Tsumego Pro is because, well, not everyone wants to buy a complete app just for the problems. Tsumego Pro has 30,000 users while ElyGo has only 2,000, so I guess I was right.
Another problem is that it was not possible to implement the "progress" mode in ElyGo. If you import your own problems, the app doesn't know which level they are and thus can't automatically pick problems of your level and track your progress.
Also, is there a bundle option to buy all available problems at a lower price?
Currently no, but it's something I may add in the future.

Re: Tsumego Pro : Go problems for Android
As an all-around Go program with many uses, Elygo has a lot more competition. Though there are one or two other stand-alone tsumego programs.
How does the progress tracking work? When I look at Score History, it always says No Results Found.

It should track every problem that you solve in the "progress" mode and display your progress over time. It may need at least two or three problems before showing anything, but if you still see an empty screen after that then it may be a bug.

Re: Tsumego Pro : Go problems for Android
So, I've been using this for the past few days and it seems pretty nice, aside from the following:
- The progression mode doesn't seems to take from the whole pool of problems. I have all 350 Basic problems unlocked, but in progression mode I only ever get the same 20 or 30(they are part of the free ones if I recall correctly)
- Some randomization might be nice, though I think this is taken care of if the progression mode is fixed.
I also have one more suggestion: An option to randomly rotate the problem in on of the 4 directions. Right now the problems always come up in the same way, rotating them might make it harder to recognize them.

I got other reports of this problem, I will try to fix it quickly.

Re: Tsumego Pro : Go problems for Android
Hi Dalmas,
I love your app. It looks very clean and the problems are great. Do you plan to incorporate allowing users to make their own problem sets for personal use? (So I might be able to make my own problem sets from books I have lying around the house). Or is that a direction you don't want to go with the app? I think the in-app purchases are excellent value (and I'l probably have bought all of them by the end of the week), but I think it might be nice if I could use the app for other problems as well.
