Woot, didn't know there were so many SC players here. I knew Li Kao played SC, and I always suspected sol did too, since he was really up to date in terms of posting all that Batoo stuff.
Sol, who are you on TL? I am Aphelion there as well, though I haven't been posting much for the last year or so - started to be more active now.
If anyone wants to play me, I'm a 1400-1500 platinum on the US server, though I also have a EU account too. I still feel I'm terrible though (most people are right now, really), so I'm looking for a practice partner with whom I can fine tune my game.

I'm just a lurker there, I have a TL account but I haven't logged on in such a long time I forgot my username and pass (I guess this is the price to pay for not sticking with a consistent handle). Actually I'm one of those transitioning from WC3 -> SC2 rather than SC, I was really big on WC3 before I got introduced to Go. Artosis made an interesting point in an interview that those who went from WC3 from SC2 tend to play Protoss...coincidence?

I got a Beta invite for having a "battlenet account in good standing", whatever that means. Imagine my surprise when my low end ($200) computer ran the game at 1920x1200 just fine.
Here's my motherboard: it's a dual core atom with first generation ION graphics.
Yes, I am loving awful at the game.

Cool, we should get some games together - whats your handle on Bnet 2.0? I'm Aphelion.teamliquid, though this maybe moot with the upcoming reset. And I don't think its a coincidence that WC3 players tend to like Protoss; although I've only played WC3 extremely casually I felt that it was similar to a PvP in SC1 - units tend to last longer, with lower dmg to HP ratios, so the micro is more similar. Do you think this is the reason?
Btw, I take it to mean that you are Protoss too. I also play P - though I have been contemplating a switch to T recently.

My handle is Tenuki.sente, though I share the account with a sibling since we have only 2 keys for 4 of us so might need to ask if it's me before a game :p. I also agree with your reasoning for why WC3 players tend to go Protoss, Artosis gave a similar explanation; though since I played primarily UD in WC3 maybe I should give Zerg a twirl .

Cool, I just added you on Bnet. I've also been practicing Nony's phoenix build for the last 100 games or so, we should help each other .
Edit: anyone else from L19x19 is welcome to ask me for a game too whenever I am on .

It can be done, but you have to have another beta key for a US battle.net account as well. Then you have to swap a couple files in the installation folder. If you need to know how, I can link you to it really fast. Can't help you with the beta key though.
I also have an account on Europe, though I am rarely on it now. PM me sometime if you want to play.

With the new patch the email I am using for my NA battle net account is aphelion02@gmail.com. Feel free to add me and ask me for a game, though the beta ends in a week.
I also have a EU account, for those of you that are interested PM me.

New patch is very buggy. And be aware that when you add somebody as a real ID friend using his email address he can see the real-name you entered when registering the bnet account. Additionally there seems to be some exchange of email addresses between blizzard and facebook to find out which email addresses are used in both. So using a fake email-address might be advisable.

It's not Starcraft or the game itself that's been causing a ruckus, but the platform (BNet 2.0). So far SC2 has been going alright, but the direction that BNet is heading has distressed a lot of people. Personally I think some people are exaggerating the problem, but I also understand why some people are distraught by a BNet with no chat rooms and no LAN support.

I think the biggest problem atm is the KESPA vs Blizzard battle
I assume in the end the ones who will suffer most are the fans.
