Now when working on Go problems (such as those available on Sensei's Library), for 'white to play' problems, Go Eye will set the first move to white automatically which is a nice improvement.GoEye2012 wrote: A good news for all: Go Eye 1.2.3 is released!
4. Respect PL(player turn) property for SGF.
For branch selection, you can also long touch (or double tap if you don't choose single tap for input) the indicating stone on the board to switch to that branch on the board. You don't even need to navigate to the thumbnail panel. It is just like you try to place the stone at the next variant place.macelee wrote:Hi jenson, jenson wrote:May I know whether how should one go about navigating between different variations?is it included in the helps file of Go Eye?
May I suggest you to first update to version 1.2.3 which was released just a few hours ago. It includes a major improvement to help navigating games with branches.
From the attached image, you can see once we reach a position with branches, the next moves are indicated using semi-transparent stones. The highlighted one is the main branch. Also note the two small white dots in the side panel which indicate a second view. The first view contains comment, the second view contains thumbnail images of the different branches.
Thanks Jenson. It looks reasonable to prevent editing when the game is locked. We will add an option for that later on. Right now, you can revert (in action menu) the game if the game is messed up. If the game is locked, when exiting, it will prompt you that it is locked and confirmed if you want to save it.jenson wrote:Thanks GoEye, I also manage to navigate through that. But can I suggest that after we lock the kifu can it prevent us from placing stone on the board if that point has no variation? 'Coz I notice that on iPhone, sometime I'm blocked by my thumb or finger and I tend to long tap or double tap on wrong point on board. So it ended up I add on a new stone on the board (means I ended up editing the game instead of navigating to the variation).
And also can Go4Go include more games with commentaries next time? :-p
Thanks.

Go Eye can download games from any SGF(or zip/rar) url links in the web by using the in-app web browser. So if you visit http://www.go4go.net/go/commentaries/professional, tap the download SGF link, you can get it
Thank you, Jenson. Should you find any problem in using the app, please don't hesitate to leave a message. And it would be helpful to rate our app in App Store toojenson wrote:Alright, got it. I'm still finding proper way to promote it as its good that more people purchase the apps while also paid to support the development of such a great SGF editor for iOS
