I would like a try. I am b/t 20-15k, depending on the day. Looking for a player 20-10k. No handi, no books, no database. 1 move every 1-2 days. Would this work for someone? First time trying Malkovich, please bear with me.

I am fine with your rules. I'm about 16k IGS which should be something like 13 or 12 KGS. Would you like to nigiri or would you like to be black ? I believe I'm a little bit stronger than you though.

Regrettably I am unable to grasp coding and dispaying boards on this forum. I will withdraw my request.

Thank you Bgrieco. Regrettably that did not add to my comprehension. I will continue to remove myself.

Actually, this is the thread to look at: viewtopic.php?f=37&t=226

The simplest thing to do, though, is to click the "Click Here to Show the Diagram Code" option below a diagram, highlight the code, and then copy-paste it into your response. Here's a diagram showing a sample position and two moves. If you look at the diagram code, you'll see that Black stones are designated as "X"s while White as "O"s and new moves as "1" and "2." It's all very simple. You ought not give up so easily.

One thing to watch is that sometimes for no reason I can discern the code is pasted into a new post tabbed out from the left. This causes the code not to work until you remove the spaces that were put in when pasting. It's a bit annoying.

This happens when the last linefeed is copied. If you carefully avoid copying the last linefeed, it will not happen.

It seems that my current game is on a break, so I'm willing to start a new one. I'm officially 7k, but I haven't played much recently. I was around 4-5k KGS at best.

Preferably even, but handicap games are also ok.

Also preferably open book/database, but I'm willing to consider playing closed book also.

Note: I will be traveling from 22nd to 28th, so I probably wont make any moves during that period.

Being on the weak end of DDK, 16-20k is a fair description. Would like to have a game with someone similar in rank. Perhaps one move per 2 days or less? No outside input other than using a reader to map out/read moves we are thinking about. Would this work for someone?

My malkovich partner is busy getting married, so I would like to start another game in parallel. I'm 14 kyu EGF and 11 kyu KGS so my level is probably somewhere in between. Anyone of any strength is welcome, handicap is fine.

Edit: EdLee has agreed to play me.
Next is 218

I would like to play a game against someone much stronger than me. That means between 2d and 7d.
Preferably without handicap, but I'm willing to take up to 4 stones.

I don't like taking handicap because it forces me to play differently from how I usually play with the 4-4 stones and it just feels like those handicap stones are targets for my opponennt to attack.

But a strong dan player said that it's important to learn how to use the 4-4 stones and how to play with handicap to get stronger at the game, so I'm willing to take handicap.

I've been a lurker for a while now. Finally decided to make an account! If anyone would like to play me, I am ~1k on KGS. I would prefer an even game with someone within 2 stones. Chinese rules. Let me know if you're interested!

EDIT: Handi games are ok too. Just dying for a game :(
