I added a bunch of problems where the ladder capture is wrong, and also the one from the twoeye-gaopo game.

Start at move 87. (game is still ongoing, so no comments on the final position, please)

That which can be destroyed by the truth should be.

This is from Modern Master Games Volume One, Game Eight. Black has just wedged, and white's proper response depends on a ladder. How the ladder comes up should be pretty obvious, but I included the setup in the hide tags in case you need it to visualize the problem.

I've added the games posted recently and a couple stylized ladder problems from SL. I haven't added the joseki ladders yet. I still want to do that, but I'm equivocating about how to do it. Make up random patterns? Use pro games (where presumably the ladders will be very clean)? Ehhh. The most ambitious thing I've thought of is using a pattern search on one of the amateur databases, but... seems like too much work.

I read the ladder several times and always favorable for black. Am I missing something?

No, or at least, that's also what I read out. So :w1: can't be at c16.

The main page for Hayashi Gembi's Loose Ladder on SL has a stone at S14; the attempts page doesn't, though, and neither do other pages on the internet. The problem comes to a disappointingly swift close with S14 there, so I'm removing it in my ladders file.

Maybe this is too simplistic. It's from Dave's comment on Phelan's game.
