Argentina will be the favourites, but I think S. Korea can get a result here.

Should have just slept, that was brutal to watch, especially the first half. I think there was a glimmer of hope in the early second half, but things eventually went downhill. Messi needs to be nerfed.

Ugh... I like Messi and think he deserves all the plaudits but I really wish he hadn't chose this particular moment to be amazing on the international stage.

Well, Greece beating Nigeria certainly improved Korea's chances. If they tie or defeat Nigeria, they should be through to the last 16 (unless Greece upset Argentina, but I don't think that's likely :)

Actually, that's the result most French were expecting.

I'm excited about the match Germany - Serbia tomorrow!
Germany played really well against Australia: the best performance of any team so far (except Argentina maybe) and I hope they can play like this again!

Go, Germany!!!

From a non-vested standpoint, my perspective was that Argentina is simply too-talented for a team like South Korea. However, the Argentinians have been prone to sloppy defensive play in both games, and the South Korean team is quite adept at making the most out of infrequent counter-attacking chances. I think South Korea will make it out of the group.

Congratulations to the Spanish referee on defeating Germany!

Of course, the Malian referee in the USA/Slovenia match wasn't much better....

Seriously, bad calling by the ref in the USA - Solvenia match. I know I do root for the USA so my view might be biased, but that was really bad. I think it was an amazing comeback, and it's a shame their last goal was not let through.

Don't worry about bias. On other forums today I've read from a Brazilian, a Chilean, and a Finn who all thought the Americans were robbed.

I accidentally overslept and missed Germany's game and the US's, but from what I'm hearing so far the refs were horrible in both games :/. What a shame.

England's fans weren't happy with this one. However, if I thought it out correctly, it means US still has a chance to advance (as well as England?).

Yes, if both teams win their next matches, they advance( England vs Slovenia and USA vs Algeria). I believe right now, the standings are:

Slovenia - 4
USA - 2
England - 2
Algeria - 1

There's a lot of whacky stuff that can happen.. Algeria not eliminated at all yet.
