Hi Aidoneus, I'll be traveling during Nov and Dec. I'm not sure of my internet access during the 7-8 weeks,
but I'll try to get online, somehow. If you don't mind my slow response time, we can try it. :)
( 20 stones seem too difficult... :) I forget what's your level…
9 stones in real-time versus turn-based are quite different… do you think 9 is too much ? :) )

I would love to play you Ed, thank you! I know that you are much, much stronger than me. I really don't mind losing, so I would rather not get 20 stones to have a realistic chance.

For sake of argument, let's say I'm about 10 kyu--maybe a bit better playing correspondence, I guess, but then I expect everyone is a bit better. What handicap would you feel pretty confidant in overcoming without forcing you to drastically distort your play? I shall abide by your better judgment. :D

Hi Aidoneus, Actually there's no way to find out unless we play many games. :)
How you feel about 6 stones ? If OK, please start a new thread.

So, over Christmas and new years I will have more time and worse internet, seems like a good idea to start one of these. I've only played a little correspondence over OGS, so this will be a nice experience.

On a good day I'm 8k KGS. I will take on all comers, regardless of their rank and open or closed book are both fine with me, but I would prefer someone who is at least somewhat active on these forums, since these games seem to have a good chance to 404.

I will play you giving 9 stone handicap. If you prefer closer game, let's wait for someone closer to your rank to show up. If you do want to play, set up the game. :-)

I would like to give it a try. I'm currently 4k on KGS and just dropped back from 6k -> 7k in EGF. As a recent tournament again shows, I play too often in 'blind flight' mode and am often too much focused on a single goal (kill that large dragon!!). With a Malkovich game I hope to get a bit more structure into the thinking process. I cannot guarantee to respond always within one day, but the upcoming Christmas break could be a good start. Anyone will be welcome!

Edit: I quickly got a challenge by moyoaji, which I'm glad to accept. Thus the game moyoaji vs. schawipp has #246,

Next number will be #247.

Since it's what all the cool kids are doing, I'd like to give this a try.

I want to be one of the cool kids!

Or at least sit near them, and hope some of their coolth will rub off on me.

Anyone for #247?

Cool kids mention their approximate strength.

Oh, that might be useful to mention...

I'm 4k, but my enthusiasm can carry me lower if I try.

I'll play against you. I'm anywhere from 5k to 7k depending on my mood!

I've never played any sort of correspondence game before, let alone something like this, but it seems fun. Any dan players want to join me in a game? I'm 2-3d on KGS.

Excellent! I'm looking forward to it. I've created a thread for #248 amatterof vs. Kirby.

The next number is #249.
