If we can't get ahold of him, should we find a (at least temporary) replacement?

I would hate to see this game die at such a climactic moment, so I would be willing to sub in for Gresil if you can't find anyone else. As a warning, I have been following the game; since nothing has happened in months, I probably do not have access to any secret information about what is going on, but I have a vague memory of the variations that were being considered for the top.

great, jts. I wanted to volunteer also but I considered myself as to weak compared to Gresil. I tried to find the next move, but then I understood Gresil's running away. Good luck!

Jts would be fine by me. ( I don't think that we need worry much about what he may have read. The game enters a whole new phase in a few moves, and I would be amazed if anyone has posted substantial analysis of that. )

JTS is fine by me too.
I like how I was reminded about this game's existence when I saw shapenaji on a server for a different game that both of us probably had no idea the other played.
I'll bet we both first pick Fangren Marauders too.

First, I think that our ignoring their ko threats on the top will get more and more costly, while their ignoring our ko threats on the bottom will get less and less costly. In which case we should ignore now. Second, if there is a response to this threat that minimizes the risk to us on top and/or eliminates future ko threats, I have no idea what it is. Better to play this and let Daniel/Violence change it to the right response, than to respond to the threat and require one of two possible changes (a different response, or ignoring the ko).
I think the follow-up is m18, m15, o16, l18. Or maybe instead of l18: j19, g19, k18, or else a ko for e18. In any event, with luck if we die, we die in ko, in which case we'll get the same ko threat anyway.
Para-dropping into this game late, I should probably count, but it's so... unsettled.

Do we have an accurate prisoner count now?

No - I wasn't sure whether captured stones go under B or W.

Like I said, if we are sure about the prisoners passed back and forth, we can ignore the actual captures and just count chinese.

Mise!
LOL, I always separate GO and MTG communities in my mind ... I don't know why ... there's a number of people who play both.

Accepted.
I would like to respond to the threat, but the fact of the matter is that we have no 50 point ko threats. I'm not sure what jts thinks is a ko threat for us? I think there's enough space on top for both of us to live.
