Oh man, I can't believe I missed this thread... that being said, I'm amazed Han Sanghoon is only $2, I mean, he hasn't scored yet, but that's a horse I'd put money on.

It's a new month I was thinking about possibly:
1) Trades for existing players
or
2) opening up enrollment for new players
What do you all think?

Funny, I had thought both ideas were already in effect.

in the Meijin league, Cho U beaten Takao Shinji and Kono Rin beaten Kim Sujun
by the way, i would have never expected how exciting such a "competition" like Fantasy go league can be. i am really cheering for my pros in every game they play, i need 3 more points...
emeraldemon: i have no objections against inviting new players. i am neutral about trading (i like my picks). how would it work?

I guess I meant something like "once per month, you can have up to 3 free player trades". In the initial rules I wrote up a tax to keep people from trading too frequently on upcoming matches.

I'm not sure I'd want that. Too frequent trades encourages gaming based on the upcoming matches. My ideal would be a yearly draft.

I think something like seasonal draft (maybe 6 months; a year is a long time, but is also possible), where you can trade your players out and get new ones at an updated pricing list.

But if new players join, won't we be entering with advance information of who's doing well? shouldn't the prices per player change based on their current standings?

Six months is probably enough. A year has the advantage that since most of the tournaments have yearly cycles, you have almost zero information about who will be playing where.

Well my first instinct was not to award latecomers points for events that have already occurred. But given how far along we are, that'd be a pretty huge handicap. I'll have to think about this a bit more.

Ok, I've added all the Nongshim games, the first Samsung Final game, and the two Meijin league games so far:

Here's the Samsung final game, Won Sungjin vs. Gu Li:

It's a pretty epic full-board battle, of course I'd expect no less from Gu Li.
