I am a man of simple tastes.
I usually play Ni-Ren-Sei and try to stay on the conservative side.
When I am in a funky mood, I play double san-san and try to build a moyo. ;)

Oh... and I have had some good experiences with 4-4 / 5-3 opening as well, no clue if it has a name... but that's mostly because I like 5-3... still play it sometimes.

I play that as white sometimes, if black plays hoshi and komoku so that Chinese fuseki might be played. Komoku instead 5-3 might do the same, though.

5-3 is nice because it can lead to taisha

I'll vary between playing 3-4 or 4-4 as my first move as Black, and if my opponent plays a stone in the opposite corner I'll usually follow with the low Chinese or Kobayashi. If they play the diagonal, mini Chinese.

White I always start at the opposite corner to stop the mini Chinese. Usually ninrensei.

Generally I start with 4-4, then 3-4.
