Wow, you really can't win. Some people are sad and lose interest in their games because no one is paying attention. Other people get mad because there are a lot of comments.

Mad and weird are two different feelings.
Perhaps this could be something that the players would agree before the game and have a "comments" or "no comments" sign. On the latter case, a parallel thread may be created.

I think you're simply missing the point of Malkovitch. This is a discussion board, and creating discussion if part of the Malkovitch experience. You give people your thoughts as you play; they react to it.
I'm sorry. You might have put yourself in a position where this kind and level of feedback was unexpected. The fact still remains that this is what you get in a Malkovitch. If it's not your cup of tea, there's OGS and the like.
