I remember watching documentaries on orangutans, chimpanzees and other legendary primates (Jane Goodall et al.) and it is my belief that they enjoy peace, society, sensuality and fun with no need to commute, pay mortgages or taxes, defend litigation or go to war. All they need to do is invent skis and Go and they will have achieved Utopia!
I pass through Waterloo station twice a day and am subjected to enormous, flashing advertisements for this blockbuster - they serve only to offend. I haven't seen the movie or read reviews about it (until this link, today) but the concept of large-apes-with-guns strikes me as crass, cheap and sensational before anyone even asks whether defaming the species is responsible or not.
