How to make a sgf file with commentaries and variations?

Hello.
I play my games on KGS. When the game is over, there is an option to save the game to my computer. And when I click on the KGS shortcut on my desktop ("CGoban3") there is the option "Edit SGF file" which allows me to open one of my games and then to edit it.
This is what I get:
http://s29.postimg.org/i24udkbol/sgf_file_cgoban.pngI can add commentaries to each move, but I don't understand how can I add variations?
And also, how do I add coordinates?
The "help" button is not very helpful.
Thanks in advance for your answers.

on the Main Window (probably behind your game window), click the configure button (below and to the left of the Edit button) to set the coordinates on the board (as well as other settings)
for variations, just click on the game board where you might alternately play, and it will auto-create your new variation. Just write your comments in the big white area on the right. There are tiny up/down arrows on the grey bar at the bottom of the chat window, pull it up to reveal the move/variation tree.

Thanks! Got it for the coordinates.
For the variations, I closed the game editor window. 30 minutes later I reopened it, but for some inexplicable reason there was a big difference this time: variations are shown as "A", "B", "C", on the points of the board. I have no idea why this wasn't here before.
But I can't find a way to delete variations that I do not want... How do I do that?
Edit: I closed the window again, and reopened it 5 minutes later. And the variations letters are gone again... The variations are actually still saved, because when I play the moves leading to the variation the variation shows up, but the letters are gone so I can't see where are the variations...

upper right corner of your game window is the tool menu. label (a, b, c, etc.), number, edit, etc. tools.
there's a difference between the labels on the board and the actual move variations they represent.
