Please explain what you mean by stone counting. All I know of is territory and area counting.

You count the stones on the board. Whoever has the most at the end of the game wins.
In this example it should be equivalent to area and probably also territory scoring, but I was too lazy to keep track of prisoners in the variations.

So by stone counting you mean [sl=StoneScoring]Stone Scoring[/sl] not [sl=StoneCounting]Stone Counting[/sl]? ;-)

(though perhaps no difference on this board?)
