Same account, different ranks computer/ipad

Hello,
I have an account on Panda for which I am 6k every time I log in from a computer client, and 4k every time I log in from the iPad app.
Why this?

Looks like the iPad app is showing your Japanese rank and not the raw igs rank. Japanese rank is the higher.

Ahh, maybe. Thanks. So I can move to Japan in order to appear a bit stronger

Actually you can change the "show Japanese ranks" option in the ipad app if you want to be weaker again
