European Go Tournament Calendar

Hi,
I am thinking of playing in some European tournaments in the future.
Maybe I can go to 2-3 different countries each year. That would be fun!
So I started to search for a central tournament calendar to plan for which tournaments to go to.
On the
eurogofed I found a link to
http://senseis.xmp.net/?EuropeanGoTournamentCalendarIs this the only source available?
It seems that organizers are not so good at updating this list.
Then I found this site
http://www.eurogofed.org/eurocup/calendar.htmSeveral of these tournaments are not mentioned on Sensei's.
I guess _a lot_ of national tournaments are planned but not published on Sensei's.
So does it exist some more updated database?
Or do I have to use google to find each clubs tournament in each countries language?

Ah, yes there are some more!

I missed the link because I mistook it for a page title.
This page is quite good but I would like to see more tournaments in it.

I wonder how "Major European Tournament" is defined. If it is measured by the number of participants, then the
Cologne Tournament is surely missing. In the last years over 100 players showed up.

I don't know exactly what Major European Tournament means

but you have to take into consideration that the page is not updating by itself. Someone does it. If she or he doesn't get the info from the organizers ...
Maybe the fact that Cologne is missing from that page is just organizers' bad marketing. This is just an assumption but there may be some truth in it: just take a look at the link you provided: there is a site in German. Hmm ... not everyone understands German ... that's bad marketing

... or the tournament is a local one, not an international one.

All open tournaments can probably be listed there.
Only closed tournaments can not. Like a club championships.
So the Cologne tournaments organizers should email the details to EGF, if they want foreigners to come and play.

More tournaments can be found at
http://www.britgo.org/tournaments/ which is the official BGA list and is therefore comprehensive for all UK and Irish events
and

Some tournament directors don't want more participants because they have enough already.

It's quite nice if you get too many, rather than too few, participants though.

Hm, I supposed that was spoken ironically.
