Life In 19x19

hi! started playing a go a couple year back, mostly on KGS. Eventually got struck at 4kyu on kgs for almost a year.

Recently break trought the wall and manage to improve at last...curently probly somewhere aroudn 2-3k. i feel than it took a ridiculously large amount of game for kgs rank to change due to tendancy of rank becoming quite heavy on KGS.

SO i told myselft, let just abandon KGS and go play on IGS/Tygem/Wbaduk for 6 month ot so unit i get a ? Look like fun!


On all 3 server, i had OLD account around 10-12 kyu:

-Manage to get IGS account to 5k+ in under 200 game, what indeed roughtly equivalent to 2-3k kgs.
-manage to get tygem acount to 1d in around 200 game as well. what is also consistent to around 2-3k kgs tygen being a little weaker.

But Wbaduk...honestly...have a hard time beating 8-9k there. I am normal?

what make me wonder two things:

-how can SDK rank in Wbaduk be so strong considering dan ranke are actually weaker overall?
-what does i have to work on to improve now ?

My rank at KGS was around 3-4k. On Wbaduk I hover about 7-8k. The playing style is totally different there. I feel at wbaduk I cannot get away with grazy overplays; these guys know how to punish. So I have to try to play sensibly. In KGS I played grazy moves, and they worked.

It's simple -
1)sanbaggers
2) do at least 50 tsumego a day and review at least one pro game a day, play as much games as you can. You'll be dan in no time.

actually managed to improve performance in wbaduk significantly.

guess during my tygem time, got to used to rush intro battle withous thinking and get away with it. casu all they do it overplay and invite fight and are nto generaly that good at it.

guess wbaduk player are much stronger at fighting and dont tent to overplay as much...they do, but it is a little less drastic...notived however than if i jsut take my time and relax and play simple game only trying to punish WAY to obvious overplay....generaly win with ease. They still ahve problem with fondamental than can be exploided easy in a more peacefull and strong game.

but defenitively, going more tsumego coudl rarely do my bad
