Haiku?

Since that other thread by John Fairbairn (where I first had appended this) is about a certain haiku, and about spring, I thought it may be better to have a “general haiku” thread here where everybody can add theirs …

Yesterday I suddenly had something haiku in mind …

lost three times last night
but shimmering Yunzi stones
a delight to play

I have never tried composing a poem, but I do like this one:

Roses are red
My name is Dave
This poem makes no sense
Microwave

Pink tender morsel,
Glistening with salty gel.
What the hell is it?

There is indeed some surprisingly good haiku spam!

There are also a few go-related haikus already here on the forum (BTW, shouldn't this thread be in the creative writing section?) Here are some that I found just looking up HKA's posts:

On the closing of the New York Go Centerby HKA here.

Coping with AlphaGo by HKA and others here.

On the death of Go Seigen by HKA here and others here.

On the (supposed) death of Richard Bozulich by HKA here.

Oh … I did search or “haiku” before I posted, but 1) only in topic titles, and 2) the “creative writing” section just didn’t come to my mind (especially since I’m never satisfied enough by my own creations to see them as “creative” <scratches head> thanks) … maybe some friendly admin will move the thread there?

I've posted this before, some years back:

Six inch kaya board,
slate and shell, keyaki bowls.
Ten kyu forever

There is quite a large collection of go-related haiku on Sensei's Library: http://senseis.xmp.net/?GoHaiku
