I was reading a science article a few weeks ago, and they claimed that there is enough capacity in our brain to store literally all the books ever written!..
So why did it take me five minutes to remember where my glasses were? (on my face)

Because there was no room left after you had stored those books?

Do you know how long it takes to search all the books ever written?

It would take an eternity. Not all books are extant.

When I consider all the bad books that have been written, the thought of having their content in my brain fills me with horror - even if there were space left over.

Where I live, you can get 10 used books for $8.
Bought The Hobbit few days ago.

Hi Anzu, I understand it was a rhetorical question/joke.
( And you knew those two are orthogonal: storage capacity and search
speed.

I practice Schulte tables. They are useful not only in development of quick reading skills, but also in training visual memory. Now it is tim to
compare rice cookers to clarify some things.

this science article you were reading; was it in "Hello" magazine?
it's not possible to store all the books that were ever written, because the Library of Alexandria was burned, forget who burned it - perhaps you can remind me?

I think I already said that in post #4.
