Can we kill the "only 10 posts per page" bug now?

If memory serves, this long-standing bug hasn't been discussed since the site went down and was resurrected on new hardware / with new overseers.
Assuming they are willing, I request that this bug finally be squashed. There is clearly an artificial failure happening somewhere - either in your PHP script time limit, your database query size, or some such other restriction. It should not be hard to tackle after examining the logs.
I, like many of you, participate on many forums across the Internet and this is the only one that requires me to view only 10 posts per page. And page sizes here, frankly, are tiny. It should be of no consequence in 2017 to serve a 50 post page with a few SGFs unless you're connecting via satellite phone in Botswana.
Thank you for your consideration.
